As you watch this, comically resulting in my jersey getting caught over my camera. What you don't get to see is the awkward riding position that put me in until, it was a quicker than usual pace tempered only by the fear of slipping out on the gravel through the corners. Everyone was racing to get in t, sandy climb back to the North West entry point to the mountain bike trail. I had a group that came together through the gravel who worked tog, Saturday, September 16 played host to the first ever Lord of the Springs off road bike race. This race was a unique mixture of 8ish miles of single tra, steep, the mountain bike was the most effective weapon. I won't get into the hard-tail / soft-tail debate, there was a healthy showing of fat bikes as well as a few courageous souls on gravel road or cross bikes. In my opinion, this was a really fun race and I look forward to attending again next year., though :) Al in all, we were dumped out onto a service drive which took us out to start the 17 mile gravel portion of the race. The gravel route was about half Ba, which was far enough up front to avoid the major back-ups, you'll note the spot about 5 minutes in where I attempt to pass on the left up the rock garden and loose my pedal | Leave a comment
